Podcast Audio:
-We made a podcast talking about how dangerous Antifreeze is to the environment. We interviewed someone who works with Antifreeze to tell us more about it.
Summary
-To make a podcast about antifreeze we needed to talk to people who knew about our topic. We interviewed two people, Dr. Don, our chemistry teacher, and Keith, a car mechanic. We were able to get information about what antifreeze is used for, how it works, and what it can do to a person or the environment if not used correctly. What I did for the project was organize what information was given to us in each interview by typing out what each person said along with when they said it. Our podcast came out pretty good.
Reflection
-What I am most proud of is how our podcast came out. There was a lot of work that our group had to do since we had two interviews but we eventually got through it. There was a time when I had to type out entire interviews to have them organized. I felt like it was a lot of work, but with the help of my team I eventually finished it. This was my biggest challenge because I did not understand what to do and if I did not finish, I would have made our team fall behind. This project made me think about cars even more. There are things you must put in a car that are very dangerous like antifreeze for example. If it spills you must make sure you clean it up. If an animal or baby swallows antifreeze, death is a possibility without treatment. It can also be washed down into the ocean by rain which would eventually kill the marine life. I learned what a podcast actually is as well as how to make one. I also learned that procrastinating is really bad to do. I almost waited for the last day to do my work and it almost ruined our podcast. I also learned that I work better with a group. This is because there is always someone to help me out if I need it. I feel like working with a group really gets the best out of me .
